The seaweed smelled funny and it makes sense why because it was expired in 2021.This is perfect mixed with rice to make jumukbap. I also sprinkle it over veggies or anytime I need a flavor kick. I wish there was more in the bag because we go through it so quickly.Tastes very good but size is smaller than other products of the same kind.If you are like me, you consider seaweed to be a health food. I'm also Asian, so seaweed has been a regular part of my diet all my life. I can honestly say that this is the most unhealthy seaweed product I have ever seen. I don't think my picture shows it adequately, but it's EXTREMELY OILY. When I first opened it, I was shocked because seaweed was DRENCHED IN OIL. I quickly checked the ingredient list and sure enough, THE FIRST INGREDIENT LISTED WAS SUNFLOWER OIL. In other words, you are paying mostly for sunflower oil. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bought it. I'm still giving it 2 stars because it does have versatile uses and tastes decent, but I wouldn't buy it again.Delicious in Chinese food!!I'm the kind of person who always eats the same things, over & over. When I'm in the checkout line at the market and looking at all the interesting things in others' shopping carts, I remain unmoved.However, life is short and I have kept my recent commitment to broaden my horizon, expand my viewpoint and try new things.THIS product, as one of the 'new' foods for me, is awesome!It has just the right amount of flavor that some seasonings might offer, without tasting salty.I was surprised, tho, to find this product not to be what I've known as "croutons," as it's labeled. I thought I was getting small cubes toasted bread with seaweed.Instead, this pouch contains feathery flakes of seaweed, nothing like a crouton.It's a bit puzzling to me how it is so very oily (yes, if you touch it... akin to greasy) yet still have an ever-so-slight crunch to it. Still yummy,tho,.. to top off soups, chowder, salad, veggies, etc., and I highly recommend.Thanks ??
